Elizabeth J. Parrish was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she delved into poetry at an early age. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in English. She has taught English and creative writing. Currently she edits a newsletter for the American Association of University Women and reads at various venues in Stockton.  She has a published book collaboration with Marie J. Ross entitled Lavender Fields.
